FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we are asked most often before a first session.

What therapeutic methods do you use?

We work exclusively with evidence-based methods: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and EMDR for processing trauma. Which one we use depends on what you bring to therapy, and we agree it together in the first session.

Can I have therapy in English or Polish?

Yes — every session is available in both English and Polish. Our psychologists are registered with the Dutch NIP and work daily with expats and international clients living in the Netherlands.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes. You can meet us online or in person at the practice in Amersfoort, in the Utrecht region. Research shows online CBT is as effective as meeting in the same room, and we run EMDR remotely too.

What does a session cost?

The first 15-minute phone consultation is free. A therapy session of around 50 minutes is €125, and a package of five sessions is €562 — a 10% discount. Psychological diagnostics start at €200.

Is therapy reimbursed by Dutch health insurance?

Partial reimbursement may be available through supplementary (aanvullende) cover rather than the basic package. It depends entirely on your insurer and your policy, so check your own terms before your first session.
