What is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)?

ACT is a third-wave therapy, which has its roots in cognitive-behavioural therapy. Main focus of that therapy is about taking action and making behavioural changes. It teaches you have to make mindful choices that are in line with your life values and how to live consciously, with psychological flexibility. ACT therapy was developed by professor Steven C. Hayes.
